Restoring a Waterfront Park for Recreation, Accessibility, and Community Use
Empire Builders Group was selected for the Clement Taylor Park Restoration Project for the City of Destin, a public park improvement project located along Choctawhatchee Bay in one of Destin’s historic waterfront areas.
The project focuses on restoring and improving the existing park site to better serve residents, visitors, families, and community gatherings. Work includes demolition of existing park features and construction of new public amenities, accessibility improvements, utility service upgrades, parking improvements, sidewalk improvements, pier repair work, and final site stabilization.
Clement Taylor Park is a well-used waterfront destination with a gazebo, pier, pavilion, beach swim area, playground, and picnic areas. The restoration project supports the park’s continued use as a community gathering place while improving safety, access, and functionality throughout the site.

New improvements include a pavilion, gazebo, bathroom, playground, parking and sidewalk improvements, ADA walkways and ramps, potable and sanitary sewer service lines, board-for-board replacement of portions of the pier, final grading, and site stabilization.
These improvements are designed to create a safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable park experience for the public.
