Creating Functional Space for a Growing Fire District
Empire Builders Group completed the South Walton Fire District Logistics Building 3rd Floor Buildout in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
This project expanded the usable space within the district’s logistics facility by building out the unfinished third floor into functional administrative, meeting, training, break room, storage, and restroom space. The new buildout was designed to better support South Walton Fire District’s growing operational needs and provide additional room for staff, leadership, training, and public safety support functions.
The work required careful coordination within an existing fire district facility where other portions of the building remained active and operational during the project.

Fire district support facilities must be designed and built around daily operational needs, staff coordination, training, meetings, equipment support, and long-term growth. For South Walton Fire District, the third-floor buildout created much-needed interior space within the existing Logistics Building.
The project included office areas, a larger board room and training room, break room and kitchen space, storage, restrooms, and supporting interior construction. These improvements helped turn the unfinished third floor into a practical and professional space for district operations.
