Empire Builders Group is led by experienced professionals who bring practical construction knowledge, project planning, financial coordination, estimating, and field supervision to every project. Our leadership team stays actively involved from preconstruction through closeout so clients benefit from clear communication, responsive oversight, and accountability throughout the life of the job.

Michael Macchia
Founder and President Michael Macchia is the founder and president of Empire Builders Group and brings nearly 50 years of construction industry experience, including more than 20 years leading the company. He oversees projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing contracts, budgets, permits, submittals, coordination with architects and engineers, weekly project meetings, critical path milestones, and OSHA compliance. His leadership is rooted in safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Renee’ Stephen
Office Manager Renee’ Stephen oversees the financial and administrative functions that support smooth project execution. Her experience includes certified payroll, Owner Direct Purchases, accounts receivable and payable, payroll processing, owner requisitions, subcontractor and vendor invoices, change orders, project documentation, and closeout support. Her work helps keep projects organized, compliant, and moving efficiently.

John H. Townsend
Project Manager and Lead Estimator John Townsend brings 25 years of experience in project management, contract administration, estimating, budgeting, and contractor oversight. He supports project success through document review, regulatory compliance, scope development, detailed estimating, and coordination from design through completion. His approach helps keep projects aligned with quality, schedule, and cost expectations.

Dwight Holcombe
Senior Field Supervisor Dwight Holcombe leads on-site project execution, including supervision of in-house labor and subcontractors, inspections, documentation, submittals, and day-to-day field coordination. He works closely with engineers, architects, inspectors, and owners to help keep projects on time, on budget, and running efficiently in the field.
